Caroline Joy joined the Economic Development Office in 2016. Her responsibility is to manage the business and development branding, marketing, and communications efforts for the City of Westminster.
Caroline has more than 20 years experience in marketing and communications and has done extensive work in the metro Denver market. After graduating from the University of Colorado Boulder’s School of Journalism, she worked as a copywriter for long-time Colorado retailer, Fashion Bar. She has also worked for the Denver Athletic Club, and spent eight years with Bank One (currently JP Morgan Chase) throughout the 1990’s, eventually serving as the vice president of marketing for Colorado.
She has a broad writing background, working as a grants specialist for the Children’s Museum of Denver, as well as communications director at the Colorado Bankers Association. She fell in love with branding and place marketing while working as director of communications for Atlas Advertising in Denver, and had her own marketing and communications consulting business before joining the City. Prior to permanently moving to Colorado in 1985, Caroline hopped around the country (and across the border) living in Ohio, New Jersey, Canada and New York.
