Michelle joined the City’s Economic Development team in 2025 and has over 30 years of economic development experience working in local governments and not-for-profits. Her primary focus for the city is on the recruitment and retention of primary employers and businesses within targeted industries.
Prior to the City of Westminster, Michelle served as the Acting Economic Development Director for the City of Greeley and Economic Development Director for the City of Commerce City. She also served as Vice President of Jefferson County Economic Development Corporation (Jeffco EDC) and began her economic development career at the Metro Denver Chamber of Commerce. Some of the companies she has worked with on expansions or relocations include UPS, Lockheed Martin Space Systems, Ball Corporation, Terumo BCT, Trimble Navigation, Intsel Steel West, The Coleman Company and CoorsTek.
Michelle founded Colorado’s Basic Economic Development Course (BEDC) in 2008 and received the Economic Developer of the Year award from the Economic Development Council of Colorado in 2010. She is also a member of the International Economic Development Council (IEDC).
Michelle is a Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) and is a graduate of Colorado State University. She was also part of a pilot program and received a Certificate in International Marketing and Management from Front Range Community College.
