Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in Westminster announced its free outdoor summer movie series lineup today. Certain to become a family tradition, the film events will launch with the perennial patriotic classic, INDEPENDENCE DAY, starring Bill Pullman and Will Smith, on July 4th.

A throw-back to the nostalgia of drive-ins, families are encouraged to start a new tradition and bring blankets and settle in for a night under the stars at the movies. Food trucks will be on site, and of course, Alamo popcorn will be available. Each screening will also feature several select Colorado craft beers from Pandora’s Box, the full bar and restaurant space located off of the theater lobby.

The films will screen every Thursday evening at dusk from July 4th to September 5th. Seating on the lawn is limited and is available on a first-come, first- served basis. Seating should be reserved in advance here.
