Imagine people. Imagine a neighborhood. Imagine a community-driven, three-day festival. You don’t have to imagine it; it actually happened on Friday, June 1 through Sunday, June 3 along 73rd Avenue and was called Imagine Westminster.

“We wanted to create an event with the community in Historic Westminster that would focus on local businesses, introduce the art scene there to all Westminster residents and kickoff the summer with a family-friendly party,” said Senior Economic Development Officer Stephanie Troller.

The event, which took about six months to plan and over a year to implement, was planned by the Historic Westminster Arts District (HWAD), local residents and city staff.

This was an opportunity for local businesses to showcase their goods and services. Longtime Historic Westminster business, Valente’s Deli Bakery & Italian Market took over the Rodeo Market building and served up their famous cannolis and Italian baked goods. Local yoga studio Ceremony Center for Healing held special yoga classes, while local artisans displayed their wares and works of art.
